Yes it was true that the name of that Sector was changed from Sydney sector to Suva sector. The reason for this that at that time the Sectorial Secretary was Dada Paritoshanada. His visa was refused so he has to go to Suva, Fiji. Some attempts were made and still the Australian government did not grant the visa. And so, the Sectorial office was moved to Suva and the Sector was renamed, ‘Suva sector’. The most inspiring thing was that at a later time, Baba asked the WTs in RDS “Didn’t the Australian government lose the chance for having our Sectorial Office?” The WTs replied “yes Baba. They lost the chance”. Then He said “Let them repent. Pity them”. !!!!!
MYSTERIOUS ARE HIS WAYS. HE WAS SERIOUS ABOUT IT!!! WE ENJOYED HIS STYLE SO MUCH.
Now we miss all of that. (These may not be His exact words).
Also Manila Sector was initially named as Singapore Sector. Later it was changed to Manila sector because the Sectorial Office was shifted to Manila due to better welcome from the Government and for visa reasons.
But geographically speaking Manila and Suva are in corners of the Sector, so in future the original place which Baba has named may be recalled, once the reason for change of name is resolved.
